Forte dei Marmi
On the second weekend of every month, visitors can browse the antique market in Piazza Dante, where they will find fine jewelry, furniture, rare items, and collectors’ pieces.
For nightlife lovers, an evening at La Capannina di Franceschi, the historic club of Forte dei Marmi, is an experience not to be missed.
Alpi Apuane
La Casa Gialla also enjoys a strategic location for mountain lovers, thanks to the stunning Alpi Apuane just behind it, one of Tuscany’s true natural treasures.
Since 1985, part of the Apuan Alps territory has been protected within the Parco Naturale Regionale delle Alpi Apuane, which in 2012 became part of the UNESCO Global Geoparks network.
This invaluable natural heritage is the perfect destination for hiking, trekking, and via ferrata routes. Countless mountain huts and bivouacs are scattered throughout the area, offering welcoming places to rest and refresh after long walks through unspoiled nature.
The Apuan Alps are not only about tourism and outdoor sports, but also about marble quarries. In fact, Apuan marble is probably the most famous stone material in the world.
Versilia
La Casa Gialla Bed And Breakfast enjoys a peaceful location close to Versilia, a region renowned throughout Europe for its Riviera, its vast golden beaches, and its lively social scene. The area is home to numerous historic nightclubs and seaside venues overlooking the sea.
However, Versilia is not only about nightlife and beaches. Pietrasanta, for example, is an internationally renowned center for marble and bronze craftsmanship, attracting sculptors from all over the world.
The town also features a beautifully preserved historic center, with numerous art galleries and major seasonal exhibitions held in Piazza del Duomo and in the Chiesa di Sant'Agostino.
